Swimming Pool Policy – Revised 6/7/2017

The Board of Directors of the Bedford Township Municipal Authority will approve credit on a customer sewer bill for the filling of a swimming pool on a once a year basis.  The sewer customer of the Authority will be required to notify the Authority’s office at least 2 days prior to the intended date the pool is to be filled to schedule a meter reading to be taken prior to the pool being filled. Once filling is complete the customer must notify the Authority so an ending meter reading can be obtained. The credit given will be equal to the amount of the meter readings minus average daily usage. The credit request must be made in writing, signed by the customer and received at the BTMA office before the credit will be applied.  The customer must state in the request that the pool water is not emptied into the BTMA  wastewater system.

If the customer is connected to the BTMA water system, the water used to fill the pool will be charged, in full, to the customer.
