Bedford Springs Well #2

BTMA began having a test well drilled the week of September 25th and it was completed the following week. BTMA hopes to develop a permanent well at the same site. The test well showed great potential with an artesian flow of 5-10 gallons per minute. We are awaiting a final report from the hydrologist to determine the feasibility of a permanent well.

7/23/2018 - A permanent well began being drilled in April. Unfortunately, the driller has encountered numerous issues while attempting to construct this well. The project has been temporarily halted until a course of action has been determined on how to proceed with the current hole or whether to abandon the current hole and move slightly to make a second attempt at a different location.

8/12/2019 - Drilling of the permanent well has been completed. The hydrologist is working on the well development phase.

1/21/2020 - The aquifer testing plan has been submitted to the SRBC for review.

8/13/2020 - A 72 hour draw-down test of this well will commence in August or September.

12/2020 - Well development plan is currently being prepared by the hydrologist which will then be submitted to SRBC for approval.

01/03/2024 - Hydrogeologic Report was received by the hydrologist and the Public Water Supply Permit Application was submitted.
