1/16/23 The Board has agreed to extend the ONE TIME waiver of penalties if accounts are paid in full by 7/30/23, contact the office for more information.
As of 1/16/23 we will no longer except e-checks to be processed through our online payment system. We will only accept credit card payments.
The office will be closed on all Federal Holidays, as well as the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Please continue to use the drop box for your payments to be posted the next business day.

Our regular meeting time is the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. These meetings are open to the public and they are conducted in the Conference Room of the Independence Township Municipal Office at 34 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312.

Rate Increase: Effective April 1, 2019, the individual ICCJSA EDU rate changed to $64.00 per month.
Payments:
Payments of cash - checks - money orders will be accepted during normal business hours.
Payments of checks - money orders can be made anytime using the Night Deposit Box located near the entrance of the Independence Township Municipal Office.
Automatic Payment Withdrawal is available for accounts that are current. New applications must be received in the office by the 15th of the month for deduction on the 25th. Go to Downloads for a new form.
Credit Card Payments are now accepted and will contain a convenience fee. Select: Online Payment under Welcome in the top right of the Homepage.

If the 25th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the withdrawal will occur the following Monday. If the 25th falls on a holiday, the withdrawal will occur on the next business day.
